Ministry Teams

Challenging and assisting the body of Christ to be Jesus’ love in tangible ways for those in need.

This team challenges and assists every member of Prince of Peace to be involved in sacrificial service to the needs of others, following the example of Jesus.  They work closely with Compassion Network, a Christ-centered community service agency.  We serve a large number of families in need with food at Thanksgiving and Easter, provide backpacks with school supplies before the school year starts, and provide the possibility of going Christmas gift shopping.  We also provide the snack packs that are distributed to the homeless in many places throughout the tri-city area. There are always many ways to serve, but the big goal is for every believer to meet the call of Jesus to be his hands and feet to those in need.

Caring for each other as the family of God

Helping the family receive and respond to the goodness of God.

While you may be familiar with the part of the ministry of worship in which you participate, it is often bigger than you realize. The worship experiences include weekly school chapels, Sunday morning worship (both in a traditional and a praise and worship style), periodic worship for youth, special services for holidays, summer “campfire” worship, worship at retreats and often whenever a group needs special music to sing. In addition, this team includes several sub-teams such as Altar Guild, Worship Assistance, Nursery, Ushers, and Readers to name a few. We want to celebrate God’s big acts in big ways, so we put lots of effort into the celebration of Jesus’ birth and his death and resurrection. This includes Living Nativity, Advent resources, Multiple Christmas celebrations, Lent resources, and Special Holy Week celebrations.

To provide a safe and beautiful environment for the church, school, and all ministries of Prince of Peace to accomplish their goals.

A focused ministry on developing faith in our youth.

Discipleship habits are formed early in life. It is important that we do all we can to connect our children and youth to Christ and to other believers, helping them know the strength and support that comes from friendships in Christ. Our goal is to foster spiritual growth, active fellowship, and a willingness to serve the community across three different age groups: 5-6th grade, junior high, and high school.
