Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School

believes God has brought us back into a relationship with Himself through what Jesus has done. Because of His love for us, Jesus paid the price for our failure to do God’s will perfectly. By faith in Jesus, we receive forgiveness and a renewed relationship with God so that we might experience His divine blessings and live each day with Him as our Heavenly Father. God has called us together to do his work by connecting people to Jesus and his community so we can transform lives and impact the world.

With the guiding and protected hand of God, our Christian School has been serving the Fremont, Newark, Union City and Hayward areas, providing a quality academic and Christian foundation to almost 500 children and families in our preschool, elementary and middle school. We strive to teach our students to know Jesus and how much God loves them. We want our students to know that each one of them is a special and unique child of God. We get to know our students individually and celebrate their gift and abilities. Blending a loving nurturing environment with personal accountability and responsibility, we educate the whole child.

Our Mission is to connect people to Christ and His community to transform lives and impact the world.

We are all about making sure people know Jesus. We want to reach people who do not know him and we want to nurture the faith of those who do.

We are not alone in this faith. We believe that we are stronger in faith and mission together, and that the community holds stronger witness to Christ than an individual.

The better we know him, the more it will transform our lives, filling with hope and purpose and love.

But it’s not just for us. Jesus wants to impact the world with the same hope and love that we receive.

Statement of Faith

WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE that God deeply loves each person.

Therefore we emphasize that each person is of the highest value and should be treated with respect and honor.

WE BELIEVE that God desires for us to have a relationship with him.

Therefore we seek to foster a genuine spiritual life in the life of each child.

WE BELIEVE that God has given us the ultimate revelation of himself to us in the person of Jesus.

Therefore we teach the importance of knowing what Jesus taught and did.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus died suffering the punishment for the sins of all people and that the gift of forgiveness is received simply by faith in him.

Therefore we seek to foster faith in Christ as the only way by which people can have a right relationship with God and be saved eternally.

WE BELIEVE that people were created to be in community.

Therefore we encourage children to build healthy relationships, making God’s love for people part of every day life.

WE BELIEVE that God continues to work in us by His Holy Spirit.

Therefore we help children to rely on the Holy Spirit’s leading in the everyday activities of learning, relating, and playing.

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the Word of God.

Therefore it is the basis of all spiritual instruction at Prince of Peace School. Class time is dedicated each day to direct and intensive instruction in the Word of God.
